September
It’s known as the season of Spring but here in Cape Town, it’s that awkward period where you no longer sure how to dress.
One minute you sun-dazing in a dress and the next, you have to wear layers of clothing to prevent yourself from getting soaked. But as the year is nearing its end, I feel inclined to accept the signs of old age which no longer includes late nights out and spending more time sleeping in the comfort of my own bed.
About this look: Nothing screams spring like adding florals to your wardrobe and this dress imitates just that. Florals are all about amplifying vibrate colours and creating striking statements but I wanted a more delicate print to give my attire that feminine, lady-like look. Because I’ve got a big bust and a semi-defined waist, I love dresses that shape my body well.
This dress, in particular, has elastic just underneath the bust area which accentuates not only my stomach but my upper body too. I wore these gorgeous strappy crossover block heels which rounded off the feminine look and added accessories like these red, dainty earrings and matched my bag with one of the blue flowers in the dress.
