It might be winter but the annual Breedekloof Soetes and Soup Festival will warm your taste buds right back up with dessert wine tastings, delicious soups, music and plenty of entertainment for the children to enjoy.

From 21 – 22 July 2017, Breedekloof’s annual festival is an event not to be missed. Hosted by wineries from Rawsonville, Slanghoek, Goudini and around the Breede River area, showcasing the country’s homemade soups and first-class wines, there’s nowhere you want to be other than adventuring around the festivities.

What to expect:

With the festival happening at surrounding wineries, each participating wine farm offers a complimentary signature soup along with the wine pairing in a red or dessert wine. They also offer an array of entertainment and activities for the kids to enjoy. To give you an idea, gin tasting and craft beer will be served at Stofberg Family Vineyards, cupcake and wine pairing at Kirabo, chocolate soup and port tasting at Bergsig and that’s just to name a few wineries. Don’t worry, it won’t just be soups. Pancakes, burgers, roosterkoeke and more will be served as well.
