Sneak It

I’m not a trend follower at all. Not because I don’t want too but, because not all trends that come out is meant for your body type and let me tell you, I learnt this the hard way (haha). Over the last few days, I noticed how many influencers in the fashion industry have now mixed work and sport wear and I thought, let me jump on this bandwagon and try it out.

My partner bought me this black body warmer with flux fur on the inside at Pick n Pay Clothing and, I just can’t seem to part from it, literally! To break from the all black attire yet again, I wore a dark pink sweater and a front zipped up skirt.

I paired it with stockings as we in the mid of winter and it’s still relatively cold outside even with the sun out, my Roshe Run sneakers and with this fringe handbag from Zoom.

Floral Delight

It’s only the second day of the new week and, I’m already counting down the days to the weekend. On Friday, I’ll be doing my very first photo shoot for my company with one of the best photographer and stylist I could find. I’m ecstatic yet nervous at the same time because as much as one can prepare for such a huge event, many things can still go wrong.

This weeks look post is all about winter florals – Not the bright kind but more of a dark hue with a touch of pastel. I was lucky to have won a R500.00 voucher from Rage in June and, purchased this floral printed skater skirt with pockets. It’s beautifully padded and keeps you warm throughout this cold season. I paired it with a pastel blue embroidered sweater. When I envisioned these two items together, the visual didn’t look all that great but once I had it on, it sort of glued well.

I wore my sister’s Winslet silver heels from the Miss Black collection and paired it with a sliver clutch and sunnies.

I love free flowing dresses. Especially since I have curves that I’m still conscience about and won’t dare to purchase any dresses that sit too tight that I can’t breath in. And, let’s face it; I am not skinny to try it out either.

Pastels have become a trend; a timeless trend for that matter and when I came across this blue pastel two layered dress with gold twine on the top from YDE, I thought it would make for a great attire I could wear for a gorgeous and fancy occasion.

You might be thinking, did she buy this Chrysanthemum flowers just for this post? No, lol I didn’t. Due to my bedroom getting in no sunlight, I’m forced to buy flowers every week to bring some nature and brightness into my room.

I paired my gold glitter heels I bought at Zoom to match the gold twine neckline. I also wore my Lovisa white, pink and blue bangle that complimented the outfit well. I’m just stoked I got to wear this dress while the sun was out because for the last few days, it has been hailing and storming out in Cape Town.

I’m not really a skirt type of person. I would rather wear ripped jeans, leggings or cool pants but seeing that the weather has cleared up a bit in Cape Town, I thought let’s wear this monochrome skirt I picked up at Zara.

My favourite way to wear it will of course be with a turquoise blazer which I got from a friend as a gift and has been on a hanger for how long to break the typical black and white combination. With it, I wore my high-knee suede boots for an edgy look along with a camisole and a hat as an accessory.

When I was younger (will not be giving away my age), I visited the old structure known as the Two Oceans Aquarium in the heart of the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town.
